Covid Travel News for Guatemala
Updated August 25th. 2020
Thank you for considering staying at La Casa Colibri. At the present time, Guatemala’s borders and airport remain closed due to the covid-19 pandemic. After four months of lockdown, Guatemala is slowly and cautiously reopening for business. La Casa Colibri has also reopened for business with new cleaning protocols in place. The new new measures include:
- Assurance that all surfaces that are touched (i.e., door knobs, drawer and cabinet pulls, remote controls, etc.) are all thoroughly disinfected
- All doors and windows are opened and left open immediately after guests vacate the property
- Guest interaction is kept to a minimum and staff wear goggles and masks at all times while making every effort not to be in the same space as guests. Most properties include a daily housekeeping service and the timing of this service can be arranged to meet guests’ schedules. If guests prefer to omit the daily housekeeping service altogether, that can also be arranged.
- Credits can be issued if travel plans need to be rescheduled due to changes related to the pandemic
